REFLECTION

I really enjoyed this assignment, even though it really turned into much more work than originally intended. Hopefully, I've created something that I will be able to use in the future.  I chose the topic of youth activism because in the last year I have become interested in how to implement service learning into a middle school curriculum.  My own experience with community service led me to believe that service projects were not really possible until students entered high school and could provide their own transportation.  I'm excited about all of the information that was available for younger students and am looking forward to sharing this approach with the faculty at my new school next year.  Click on the link below to explore what I'm so excited about!

This assignment also exposed me to a more complete way to find resources on the internet.  While I challenged myself to use a few new searches, like Dogpile and Kartoo, I fell into my old habit of finding and scavenging the links from quality websites. I did find Dogpile pretty useful and will definetly branch off of Google with it in the future.
